On June 8 2009 Olivier Receveur, Angela Grigg, and Leana Garraway traveled to Fort Nelson. They were met by Theresa Fincayrk, the Cultural Revitalization Manger. Olivier, Angela and Leana presented the FNFNES project to the Fort Nelson First Nations Chief Kathy Dickie and council during their regularly scheduled chief and council meeting. Following the presentation, 16 members of the community attended a dinner prepared by Theresa where Angela and Leana discussed the project with the community members. Leana Garraway was invited to return to the community on August 1st 2009 to set up an FNFNES information booth at the Fort Nelson Annual Celebration. This booth included posters, pamphlets and pictures about the FNFNES, as well as a display of traditional foods of the Fort Nelson First Nation.
