On June 11, 2009 Olivier Receveur, Angela Grigg, and Leana Garraway visited Doig River First Nation to present the FNFNES to the community. There were 26 members of the community in attendance, including two Doig River First Nations band councilors, Lands and Resources Manager, and the Community Health Representative. There was much dialogue from the community at the meeting, and support for the project which was followed by lunch. The Chief Norman Davis and band manager Warren Reade were unfortunately unable to attend the community meeting. The following week, after discussion with their staff and those present at the meeting, it was decided that Doig River First Nation would like to participate in the FNFNES.
